Also can play online multiplayer games locally, but that requires at least one friend, so that does me no good. One big benefit to having both is when you have kids, you can give them access to your digital games on the PS4 and even allow them to play online using your ps plus account at the same time you're on the PS5.
I didn't realize this was an option but I'm really happy with it. My daughter plays fortnite with her friends a lot, and previously she was using my account to do it.
