Re: download vBox bridged network adaptor by phearce » Mon Jan 07, am I was experiencing similar trouble, but I think I have it solved thanks to the clue of the "Unknown device" with a VB hardware ID. So, there should be a matching 'hidden' adapter with "VirtualBox Bridged Networking Miniport" appended to the adapter name. In my case, my there are five real adapters: wired, wifi, bluetooth, wimax, and most importantly one for my MAC bridge miniport. It appears that VB's installation first attempts to configure a matching hidden Bridged Networking adapter for each relevant adapter.
